This weekend is the 1st "official" trip for Jayhawk Traveler. Living and working in China can be a little stressful so I like to try to get out and see what I can when I have a free weekend. So here goes...
I'll be sure to take pictures and post them as soon as we return.
Tentative Itinerary:
4.29.09
-Train from Zhengzhou to Shanghai at 6:40 pm (hard sleeper, 230CNY/person)
*sometimes you can find flights on www.elong.com for the same price or cheaper
4. 30.09
-Arrive in Shanghai 8:00 am
-Check in to Hostel... Shanghai Beehome Hostel (60CNY/ person in dorm)
-Head to see the Oriental Pearl Tower (50CNY before 5:00pm, 40CNY after 5:00pm)
-Lunch
-Najing Lu
-Dinner at Applebee's Bar and Grill (being in China for 2 years, I miss western food)

-Wake-up grab breakfast!
-Grab a bus to YuYuan Gardens. (40CNY/person)
-Lunch on Taikang Lu and then a stroll through the art galleries and bakeries
-Trip to the Shanghai Science and Technology museum...
-Dinner at Papa John's
-Head back to the train station to catch our train back to Zhengzhou!
